Japan striker Maika Hamano has expressed her happiness after scoring her first international goal against Nigeria.

The Asian champions won the encounter 3-1 to seal a place in the quarterfinals.
Hamano scored the opening goal for the Asian champions in the 22nd minute after she was set up by Riko Ueki.
“Frankly, I’m extremely happy, but it was a goal the team let me score,” she was quoted by FIFA.com.
“I’d be lying if I said it didn’t inspire me, but in today’s game, I played with only victory in mind.”
Japan will face the United States of America in the quarterfinal on Saturday.
