The Brotherhood of the cross and star also known as Olumba Olumba was founded by Olumba Olumba Obu born in the year 1918 in Biakpan a village near calabar in cross river state. The religion was official founded in the year 1956, according to the leader, the religion is to finish the work of Jesus which He didn’t complete before his death. He claimed that He is God and sent his son (Jesus) to the world, but the people of the world couldn’t allow Jesus to finish his ministry before death.
The religion proclaim Love to the members, healing and deliverance were also part of their oblgation.
The founder has a son by name Rowland. Rowland accordingto source didn’t put much interested in the religion. But later He became interested.
It was also noted that Olumba Olumba Obu was said to have morethan 140,000 virgins that sing for him whenever woke up. The virgins were combination of both boys and girls: little ones.
In the year 2001, there was a poWer tussle between father and child as Rowland decided to be the leader of the religion. Hope you remember that Rowland is the son of Olumba Olumba Obu.
In the year 2003… Olumba Olumba Obu after speaking with the press about his spirituality where he said ‘I am not God, neither am I Jesus’. The was a rumour that He died after but his member dismised the rumour with the claim the He is ‘God’ and God can never die.
As of Now the leadership has been vested on Rowland who is now Olumba Olumba Obu but they call him King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
